plumbing the depths of his love.

So I wrote this for my best friend, but I find myself re-reading it often. I still can't seem to wrap my head around it. I love when God gives you a word for someone else and it totally is what you needed as well. :)

Nowhere in this world are you ever alone. There is nowhere you could hide that you won’t have Jesus standing right beside you, wrapping his arms around you, whispering words of love and comfort in your ear. He truly is your lover, and he is always
thinking about you, the least you can do is return the gesture. :) If you ever feel yourself getting anxious, fearful or lonely, ask God to reveal to you how much he loves you. Not only will it blow your mind so much you will forget whatever else you were feeling, but love and fear cannot coexist, his perfect love casts out all fear. He knows every hair on your head, knew you by name before you were born, held your hand before you even knew who he was. He has a plan for you, and each and everyday he wakes up with a desire on his heart to reveal himself to you, for you to know him more. He loves to see you smile and works all circumstances out for your good. Love is your purpose, your justification, and your calling, and if you come back from this year having learned nothing, but having a better understanding of his love for you and for others, then it will have been worth it. Love is all we need, because in his love we are naturally drawn to obedience and to love others, which is what the Christian life is all about.

Read and meditate on Psalm 139 (especially vs. 1-16)
