Read John 14, and it becomes pretty apparent the emphasis Jesus puts on this thing called love.

It blows me away. Back in John 13, Jesus talks about the most important commandment is to: 1. love God, and 2. love others. Now, he gives us the key as to how to do this: obedience. He says it over five times over the short span of John 14 and 15: "If you love me, you will do what I command" (John 14:15 NIV).

So in order to: 1. love God, we must obey him. And what does he command first and fore-mostly? (Hint: Matthew 22:34-40) It's a beautiful cycle. The more we love God, the more we obey God. The more we obey God, the more we love God. The more we love God, the more we love others. The more we obey God, the more we love others.
